GhostFrame Privacy Policy
Private beta · Updated October 5, 2026 · Publisher: Joel Bryant
GhostFrame is a Windows desktop training simulator. This policy describes the current private-beta application, including its optional local AI features.
Information stored on your computer
GhostFrame stores learner profiles, credential-verification data, preferences, training progress, and virtual-disk contents locally. Files and content you create or import may also contain personal information. Learner state is kept in the Windows user's roaming AppData GhostFrame folder. Local application and browser-runtime data are kept in the local AppData GhostFrame folder.
Your Windows account and file permissions control access to these folders. This policy does not claim that every stored file is encrypted. Operational logs can contain application and diagnostic details; review them before choosing to share them.
Optional local AI
AI setup and model downloads use the application's existing consent and model-selection controls. When you use AI, GhostFrame sends your prompt and bounded training context to the separately installed Ollama server on your computer's loopback interface. The current GhostFrame AI integration uses local Ollama rather than a cloud inference service.
Downloading Ollama or a model contacts external providers. Those providers receive normal network requests and have their own terms and privacy practices. GhostFrame does not include model weights in its installer. Ollama and downloaded models are managed separately from GhostFrame.
Generated answers may be inaccurate or inappropriate. Avoid entering passwords or unrelated personal information into prompts.
Network requests and browser components
Ghost Browser's address bar fetches pages through GhostFrame's simulated HTTP system. Its embedded renderer is configured to block page scripts, external page-resource requests, frames and other page navigation, new windows, downloads, external protocol launches and permission requests. Static HTML, inline styling and embedded data images are supported. These restrictions can prevent custom or imported pages that depend on scripts or external resources from working. Optional provider/model downloads, configured HTTP(S) package metadata, and intentionally opened support or privacy links are separate network uses. Windows, the separately maintained Microsoft WebView2 runtime and other platforms have their own data practices.
Configured HTTP or HTTPS package repositories may receive requests for package metadata. Provider and model downloads also require external connections. The current application does not include automatic publisher analytics, cloud AI inference, or automatic crash-report uploads. Windows, Microsoft Store, Microsoft WebView2, Ollama, and external providers have their own data practices.
Your controls and retained data
You choose whether to set up and use optional AI and which model to download. Only share support information or logs that you have reviewed and chosen to provide.
GhostFrame's beta package deliberately preserves its AppData GhostFrame folders after uninstalling so learning work can survive reinstallation. To remove that retained application data, close GhostFrame, back up any work you want to keep, and remove the GhostFrame folders from your Windows user's roaming and local AppData. Removing them deletes their contents, including learner state and any contained virtual disk. Separately installed Ollama and its models are not removed by uninstalling GhostFrame.
Privacy questions and AI-content reports
For privacy questions, support, or reports of inappropriate AI output, contact support@ghostframe.dev.
In GhostFrame, choose Report this response or Report AI content in Ghostrider chat. Review and edit the excerpt before choosing Open email draft, then review and send it in your email app. The terminal command ai report explains this route. GhostFrame does not send the email itself. No prompt, conversation history, log or file is automatically added. If your email app cannot open a draft, you can manually email an excerpt you have reviewed.
Include only the information you choose to share. Do not include passwords, private virtual-disk files, or unrelated personal data.
This policy page
Viewing this page sends a normal web request to the publisher's website and its hosting infrastructure. The page itself has no embedded analytics, external scripts, or external fonts. This application policy does not set a retention period for independent platform or hosting-provider records.
Changes to the application's data flows will require an updated policy. The date above identifies this version.
